# Around The Way

Around The Way is an independent local discovery platform for Black-owned businesses across Central Ohio, owned by Kin Worldwide. It is free to browse and free to list — built so the neighborhood can find local Black-owned businesses first.

Every listing carries a public trust status:

- Listed — the business is listed on Around The Way. Owner claim and Black-ownership verification may still be pending.
- Claimed — an owner or authorized representative has claimed the listing and the claim was approved.
- Verified — Around The Way has completed and approved its Black-ownership verification process.

Claiming a listing is not the same as being Verified, and Verified status cannot be purchased. Paid partner tiers, sponsorships, and placements are always labeled separately from trust status.

Owners can submit a business (name, photos, hours, contact, website, categories, neighborhood) and claim an existing listing. Optional paid plans add promotion and analytics; they never affect verification.
