One old case can follow somebody into jobs, transportation, housing and the rest of their life.

The Franklin County Tap-In Center gives eligible residents with outstanding nonviolent misdemeanor warrants a path to start dealing with them without walking directly into an arrest.

At the Sept. 22 Linden session, residents can receive assistance with recalling and rescheduling eligible cases. Additional help may include BMV suspensions and reinstatements, identification documents, treatment referrals, benefits applications, employment resources and child-support questions.

Appointments are required. Call 614-525-4488 to schedule. For eligibility questions, residents can contact the Franklin County Public Defender’s Office at 614-525-3194.
